Privacy policy

This policy covers https://vinylscannerapp.com. The VinylLens mobile app is a separate product with its own policy: VinylLens app privacy policy.

The short version

You do not need an account to use this site. We do not ask for your name, email address or collection, and nothing you type into the search box is tied to you.

What the site collects

Server logs. Requests reach a server that records the URL, the time, the browser’s user-agent and the IP address. They are used to keep the site running and to stop abuse, not to profile you.

Analytics. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly tool on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you across sites. Our CDN (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie.

Third parties

Fonts and covers are served from our own server. Download links hand you to Google Play or the App Store, which apply their own privacy policies; the link may carry campaign tags so we know which page the download came from.
