81 vinyl pressings of The Original Soundtrack are listed here, from 25 countries, released between 1975 and 2023.
The earliest pressings are from 1975, in UK, US, Scandinavia, Australia and more. One of them is Mercury 9102 500, released March 5, 1975.
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 9102 500, SRM-1-1029, 6310 500, 9102 500.1) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, 9102500 1Y // 2 IB 1 1 1 4 0 1 2 MELY and 9102500 2Y // 1 IB 1 1 1 5 0 MELY. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
