When was The Collection first released on vinyl?
The earliest pressings are from 1988, in Australia, Europe, France, Greece and more. One of them is Mercury 834 790-1.
How do I tell if my copy of The Collection is a first pressing?
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 834 790-1, JB435, BWTV 1, 834 790-2) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, MPO ##### # 834790-1A and MPO ##### # 834790-1B. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
