Celida Ines Camacho. Celi Bee, born in New York, is an American singer of Puerto Rican origin, who became popular during the heyday of Disco. Although born in New York, as a child Celida returned to Puerto Rico with her parents. There she met and married Pepe Luis Soto, with whom she formed a duo with moderate success in the 60's. The duo, which lasted until the early 70's, was named Celine y Pepe Luis. In 1972, Celine won first place in the Festival De La Voz y La Cancion with "Yo Quiero Un Painter." Shortly after, she and her husband moved to Britain. There, Celine recorded a single titled Half A Love, which had great success in Puerto Rico but had a great impact in England.
