Formed as Steph and Themselves after Steve Hudson left pre-Alice Cooper band the , Cornerstone enjoyed a great popularity in Arizona and Nevada. After several failed attempts at releasing their own material, the band was picked up by Liberty. The label had veteran songwriters compose songs for the band and they achieved one popular success with "Holly Go Softly" before disbanding after an ultimate promo-only song that went unnoticed. Members were Steph Hudson, Clay Brown, John Benjamin, Harry Anglum and Alan Harkrader.
