Questions
How many vinyl pressings of Bug are there?
27 vinyl pressings of Bug are listed here, from 6 countries, released between 1988 and 2020.
When was Bug first released on vinyl?
The earliest pressings are from 1988, in US, UK, Australia, Germany and more. One of them is SST Records SST 216, released October 31, 1988.
How do I tell if my copy of Bug is a first pressing?
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use SST 216, BFFP31, ANDA 89, NORMAL 102) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, SST-216-A △21759 1-1 KDISC DMM JG S-20415 and SST-216-B △21759-X KDISC DMM JG 1-1 S-20416. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
How much is Bug on vinyl worth?
It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
