Questions

How many vinyl pressings of Communiqué are there?

183 vinyl pressings of Communiqué are listed here, from 38 countries, released between 1979 and 2022.

When was Communiqué first released on vinyl?

The earliest pressings are from 1979, in UK, US, Australia, Netherlands and more. One of them is Vertigo 9102 031.

How do I tell if my copy of Communiqué is a first pressing?

Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 9102 031, HS 3330, 6360 170, 6858 096) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, 9102031 1Y//4▽E USA 1 4 16 BSK–1–3330 ④ BH and 9102031 2Y//12▽E USA 14 2 BSK–2–3330 ⑫ BH. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.

How much is Communiqué on vinyl worth?

It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
