All-female disco group from The Netherlands, formed in 1980, after record producer watched UK singer lip sync to 's 90429 on Dutch TV. She took on the artist name , while her backing group The Pins were made up out of dancers Ingrid de Goede, Irene van der Hoeven, and Yvonne van Splunteren (who was replaced by ). The Pins left Doris D in 1982 to form the girl group Risqué. Four British singers were hired to be the new Pins, until the group broke up in 1985.
