The Family Dogg were a British vocal group, noted for their harmony vocals. They are best known for their debut album, A Way Of Life, and the subsequent single of the same name. The band was put together by producer and singer songwriter Steve Rowland for a project in 1969, taking its name from the American psychedelic poster company. Having had pop hits since 1967, Rowland wanted a harder edge to the music and so called on the talents of Jimmy Page and Jim Sullivan on guitar (who also arranged 2 tracks), John Paul Jones on bass (who also arranged 3 tracks), and drummers John Bonham and Clem Cattini.
