After Ray Fenwick had sessioned with producer , and bassist Mo Foster (on different sessions), Hurst invited Fenwick to produce a new version of the Troggs number, 'Wild Thing'. The three of them got together, and after recruiting drummer Henry Spinetti, and singer Helen Caunt, they recorded their version. To the surprise of all concerned, the track was a hit in the U.S. charts and they quickly came under pressure to produce a follow-up, then an album. However, Caunt was deemed increasingly unsuitable and was replaced by Annie Kavanagh, who'd been lead in the London performance of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. In early 1974, they hit the U.S.
