Hudson People is a disco-funk project led by composer , best known for the track Trip To Your Mind. Originally recorded and released in the UK, the track is regarded as a standout disco/jazz-funk recording and a classic of the Britfunk scene. Extensive research, including the rediscovery of Hudson’s original flight ticket dated September 7, 1976, from Los Angeles to London, has provided evidence that the recording sessions of Trip To Your Mind took place in late 1976. However, the recording remained shelved for several years and was not released until 1979. By then, the original backing band, Body Heat—a group of U.S. Army musicians stationed in Germany—had already disbanded.
