A US death metal band from Brandon, Florida that started out under the name Mantis, and formed in 1984. Massacre early incarnation consisted of Michael Borders (bass) who along with Rick Rozz (guitar), Kam Lee (vocals), and drummer Bill Andrews co-wrote and created the material from From Beyond. Borders also appears on the compilation Tyrants of Death consisting of the bands classic demos and live recordings from the years 1985 to 1987. He was later replaced by Terry Butler. They disbanded and re-united again several times.
