OutKast is an American hip-hop duo from Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of Andre 3000 aka Andre Benjamin and Big Boi aka Antwan Patton. Formed in the early 1990s, they became pioneers of Southern hip-hop, blending funk, jazz, and electronic elements into their music. Their albums ATLiens, Aquemini, and Stankonia showcased their eclectic sound, while Speakerboxxx/The Love Below earned them a Grammy for Album of the Year. Known for hits like Ms. Jackson, Hey Ya!, and B.O.B., OutKast remains one of the most innovative and influential hip-hop acts of all time. OutKast went on hiatus after the release of their 2006 film and soundtrack Idlewild, as André 3000 and Big Boi pursued solo careers.
