Czechoslovak traditional folk ensemble and orchestra founded in 1954 in Pilsen (Plzeň). The group historically performed under several variation names, including Soubor Písní A Tanců Škoda Plzeň due to its industrial sponsorship roots, before cementing its identity as Plzeňský Lidový Soubor. The orchestra specialized in the collection, arrangement, and performance of traditional music from Western Bohemia and the Chodsko ethnographic region. It collaborated extensively with the Czechoslovak Radio studio in Pilsen and prominent regional composers /conductors such as Zdeněk Lukáš and Zdeněk Bláha.
