Rollins Band was an American rock band led by singer and songwriter Henry Rollins. The group started when Rollins and his friend Chris Haskett (guitar) teamed up with Gone's rhythm section; Sim Cain (drums) and Andrew Weiss (bass). The band released the albums "Life Time" (1988), "Hard Volume" (1989) and "The End of Silence" (1992), before Weiss departed and was replaced by Melvin Gibbs. They put out their fourth album "Weight" in 1994, which included the hit "Liar". Rollins got involved in a lawsuit with his former label, which was another factor in delaying the recording of the band's next album.
