Questions

71 vinyl pressings of Virgin Killer are listed here, from 23 countries, released between 1976 and 2025.

When was Virgin Killer first released on vinyl?

The earliest pressings are from 1976, in Germany, UK, Australia, Australia & New Zealand and more. One of them is RCA Victor PPL 1-4225.

How do I tell if my copy of Virgin Killer is a first pressing?

Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use PPL 1-4225, VAL1 0300, CPL 1-4225) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, PPL 1-4225-A and PPL 1-4225-B. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
