by Stevie Nicks · 1983
The Wild Heart was first pressed on vinyl in 1983. Every vinyl pressing is listed below with its label, catalog number and runout codes, so you can tell an original from a reissue.
44 pressings came out in 1983, the album's first year, in 31 countries. Compare the label and catalog number on your copy, then the codes etched or stamped in the runout groove (the dead wax around the label): they are the surest sign of an early pressing.

59 vinyl pressings of The Wild Heart are listed here, from 33 countries, released between 1983 and 2016.
The earliest pressings are from 1983, in US, UK, Australia, Japan and more. One of them is Modern Records 90084-1, released June 10, 1983.
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 90084-1, A1 90084, 7 90084-1, 25-0071-1) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, ST-MR-835237-E [Allied 'ɑ' logo] B-18138-E SP ғᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ɴɪɢʜᴛʙɪʀᴅ SLM Δ 4494 -̶1̶-̶3̶-̶ PRECISION 0-2 SM1-1 [SRC logo] and ST-MR-835238-D SP [Allied 'ɑ' logo] B-18139-D WILD HEART SLM Δ 4494-X PRECISION 0-4 [SRC logo]. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
