After getting together in London, the Taxxi boys relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area (California, USA) where they hooked up with manager David Leiken, who brought them to Fantasy Records. They had some success in France where the track Not Me Girl from their 176781 LP was a bonafide club smash. Girl (New York City), the single from their 176783 LP, hit the top 20 on France’s Hit Parade des Clubs. In the US Taxxi videos were played on MTV, where band is best known for the songs I'm Leaving, also from 176783, and Maybe Someday, from their third album 228981. Both songs also charted on Billboard's Top Tracks rock radio airplay chart.
