When was Anthology first released on vinyl?
The earliest pressings are from 1978, in US, UK, Australia, Canada and more. One of them is Capitol Records SKBO-11856.
How do I tell if my copy of Anthology is a first pressing?
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use SKBO-11856, E-STSP 19, STSP.11856, 3C 154-85684/85) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, Masterd By Capitol skbo 1-11856 fr #2 bell sound. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
