Soul group from Newark, New Jersey, U.S. They formed in 1958 with Tommy Bullock (lead vocals), Eddie Morris (first tenor), Sam Ingalls (baritone vocals) and Preston Lane (bass vocals). They were signed at Old Town Records by Hy Weiss, Their biggest hit is "So Fine" that charted in 1959, a song credited to Jim Gribble. There was a lawsuit from Johnny Otis' lawyer that claimed the copyright of the song, recorded in 1955 by The Sheiks (released at Federal), a group that included Jesse Belvin, which sometimes is credited for writing the song. Johnny Otis' side won the case, so Hy Weiss had to pay a big amount of money for this.
