Hailing from Dubbo in New South Wales (Australia) in the late '70s, The Reels took their new wave pogo pop into the mainstream with the release of their debut single Love Will Find A Way. A string of hits and chart albums followed over the years as the band's line-up continually changed and their sound evolved through electro, bent cabaret and country soul. A publishing snafu left founder singer-songwriter Dave Mason wanting to only cover other artists' material, ironically scoring their biggest hit with Credence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising - another act experiencing a publishing fallout. The band quietly bowed out in the early '90s as they were dabbling with house music.
