When was Catch A Fire first released on vinyl?

The earliest pressings are from 1973, in UK, US, Barbados, Germany and more. One of them is Island Records ILPS 9241, released April 13, 1973.

How do I tell if my copy of Catch A Fire is a first pressing?

Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use ILPS 9241, ILPS-9241, SW-9329, TG 001) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, BML 2001 A-3U and BML 2001 B-4U. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
