Pioneering band of Industrial music. Growing out of the extreme performance art group COUM Transmissions, TG officially began on September 3, 1975. The members were couple Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti, along with Peter Christopherson and Chris Carter. The first group performances were in 1976. After releasing 4 albums (among them the classic "20 Jazz Funk Greats"), and more than 20 live cassettes, they gave their last gig in San Francisco in 1981 (recorded and released as "Mission Of Dead Souls"), and split up. After the split, Genesis and Peter formed Psychic TV (with Peter later joining Coil) and Chris and Cosey became, well, Chris & Cosey.
