Tokyo Blade is a heavy metal band from Salisbury, South West England, England, United Kingdom, that was formed in 1979 under the name White Diamond. The band changed its name to Killer in 1980, then to Genghis Khan in 1981, briefly used the name Mádäme Guillotine in 1982, then switched back to Genghis Khan until 1983, when they settled on the Tokyo Blade moniker. The band was part of the NWOBHM movement. TOKYO BLADE proved extremely popular in Europe touring on a regular basis, but failed to ignite sufficient interest in Britain despite steady commendable reviews.
