Questions
How many vinyl pressings of UB44 are there?
36 vinyl pressings of UB44 are listed here, from 19 countries, released between 1982 and 1994.
When was UB44 first released on vinyl?
The earliest pressings are from 1982, in Europe, UK, Israel, New Zealand and more. One of them is Virgin 205 039-320.
How do I tell if my copy of UB44 is a first pressing?
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 205 039-320, 205 039, LPDEP 3, LP DEP 3) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, 205039 A-1/82 S III and 205039 B-1/82 S III. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
How much is UB44 on vinyl worth?
It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
