20 vinyl pressings of Heading For A Storm are listed here, from 10 countries, released between 1983 and 1984.
The earliest pressings are from 1983, in Netherlands, US, Argentina, Canada and more. One of them is ATCO Records 79-0121-1.
Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 79-0121-1, 7 90121-1, A1-90121, 83543) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, R / S Alsdorf 790121-1 A 1-2 8 STC-835331-A MASTERDISK SRC and R / S Alsdorf 790121-1 B 1-2 2 ST-C-835332-A MASTERDISK RL SRC B E. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
It depends on which pressing you have and on the condition of the record and its sleeve. Early pressings from the album's home country in near mint condition are usually worth the most; common later reissues are worth far less. Scan your copy with VinylLens to see its value for every grade.
