How do I tell if my copy of Metalmania is a first pressing?

Check the catalog number on the label (first-year pressings use 1C 038-07 379, 1C 038-07379, SHSP 4115, 2C 068-07 415) and the codes etched in the runout groove, then compare them with the pressings listed above; for example, 07 379 A–1 v and 07379-B1 1.. Later reissues often keep the catalog number but change the label design or the runout codes.
