The Windows were orginally formed by Golden 12 Records to release "How Do You Do" in Germany before Mouth & MacNeal released their version. The founder members were Peter Petrel and Jeanette McKinley but up split in 1974. Jeanette McKinley was replaced by Tina Wulf.
