Maria da Graça Xuxa Meneghel. Born on March 27, 1963, in Santa Rosa, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Xuxa is a television host, singer, actress, and businesswoman. She began her career as a model before transitioning into children's television. Her programs have been broadcast internationally in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. She has received two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Children's Album and is also known by her epithet "Queen of the Shorties."
